About Journey Song

You'll find us in nursing homes and by the bedside

Journey Song is a group of volunteer a cappella singers who provide joy, solace and comfort by singing to patients in hospice, and to residents in nursing homes.

Most months, we hold two "large group sings" at area nursing homes and senior centers, where residents gather in a common area to hear selections from our repertoire of over 150 songs.

We also have 16 small "bedside groups" of 4-6 people, who visit 12 different locations each month to sing one-on-one to specific patients on hospice. Plus, we sing to hospice patients in their homes.

Our repertoire ranges from hymns to show tunes

We tailor our musical choices to every audience: songs like "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" bring back memories of decades past; hymns and non-denominational spiritual songs provide inspiration; and simple harmonies hummed quietly comfort those who are actively dying.
